Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi is an Romanian gymnastics instructor who was later Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci at the age of six. She participated in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. She won three golds in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972, which was a the communist bloc nations. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. In her very first competition at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals aswell being awarded a silver. She took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the entertainment business during her teenage years. She began her career by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
