Keerthy SURESH (born 17th October, 1992) is a popular Indian actress. Keerthy appears in Tamil films and Telugu films as well as a couple of Malayalam. She was awarded the National Film Award Best Actress Award for her role as the character Savitri. She also won a Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar, and actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her initial career path was an actress for children. Then, following a course in fashion design, she re-entered acting. The year 2013 was the last time she played the role of lead actress in Geethaanjali, a Malayalam-language film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy began to work on films that weren't Malayalam in 2015. She also signed up to star in several Tamil film simultaneously. Her debut film is A. A. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2015), opposite Vikram Prabhu. The film did not perform well at the box office. It was necessary to withdraw of a number of films she was already working on in 2015, such as Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalai Vedam in order to allow for bigger projects. She worked in two films that came out in quick succession, with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note on Prabhu's Thodari. But, the movie has been delayed since 2015, with the possibility of release in September, 2020 with a brand name change to Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), which featured Ram Pothineni as the actor was Keerthy's debut. Keerthy played the lead role in Bairavaa produced by Bharathan and starring actor Vijay. She also appeared in Tamil films like Paambhu Sattai as well as Telugu films Nenu Local.
